Ergonomics in the Workplace
Ergonomics focuses on the interactions between workers and their work environment to improve safety, comfort, and efficiency. This workshop provides essential ergonomics training for employees working in both office and industrial environments.
Course Overview
Ergonomics is the study of how people interact with elements of their work system or work environment. Poor workstation design can result in injuries, reduced productivity, and increased absenteeism. By improving how work systems are designed and set up, ergonomics aims to increase workplace safety, comfort, and efficiency.
Under the Ergonomics Regulations of the Occupational Health and Safety Act 85 of 1993, employers have a duty to provide all employees with information, instruction, and training on ergonomic risks and controls in the workplace. This 2.5-hour online workshop provides essential ergonomics training for employees working in both office and industrial environments.
