Health & Safety Specialist
Health & Safety Officers play a key role in ensuring the safety of employees, visitors, and contractors within an organisation. They are accountable for creating and executing the health and safety plan and making sure it aligns with the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Act 85 of 1993 standards.
Course Overview
Businesses and their management teams desire a sense of security regarding their Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) obligations, and the Health and Safety Officer provides that peace of mind. Research demonstrates that most incidents and accidents can be prevented by identifying and addressing potential hazards and risks from sources such as employee mistakes, faulty equipment, poor practices, etc. The Health and Safety Officer helps minimize this risk and decrease the likelihood of incidents, accidents, and health problems occurring.
