Health & Safety Supervisor
The two-day Health and Safety Supervisor course covers various aspects of the Occupational Health and Safety Act 85 of 1993, including its sections, requirements, and objectives.
Course Overview
The CEO and executive team of a company are occupied with managing the business, leaving limited time to oversee health and safety compliance measures. To address this, Section 16.2 allows the CEO to appoint a health and safety supervisor, to handle health and safety within the workplace on their behalf. This appointment doesn’t absolve the CEO of accountability and liability according to the Act, but it grants them the authority to delegate health and safety management to a designated individual.
