Health & Safety Representative

This course equips delegates to function effectively as Health and Safety Representatives in any workplace.

Evacuation Planning
Emergencies happen unexpectedly. Having proper planning and training in place is the best way to ensure that everyone can evacuate safely when disaster strikes. This course equips Health and Safety Team members to plan and manage safe, efficient workplace evacuations. It covers the development and implementation of emergency response procedures, legal requirements around evacuation floor plans and emergency signage, and the importance of conducting bi-annual evacuation drills.
Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA)
Under the Occupational Health and Safety Act, all employers are legally required to proactively identify workplace hazards, evaluate the associated risk levels, and implement control measures to eliminate or reduce those risks.
