What We Offer
Course Content and Modules
- Sections of the OHS Act covering the provisions of the act that pertain to the health and safety representative, their duties and responsibilities, and the mandatory attendance of all members at quarterly health and safety committee meetings.
- Functions of the representative including their duties and responsibilities, conducting quarterly workplace inspections, and their appointment letters.
- Introduction to HIRA and incident investigations which are an important function of the health & safety representative.
- Hands-on experience, in the form of a practical component, allowing the learner to conduct a workplace inspection using a check sheet, assessing the workplace for any health and safety concerns to be discussed at the next health and safety committee meeting.
